Debbie Markwick

Debbie joined Busy Bees as the Preschool manager in September 2016, having previously been deputy manager and SENCO (Special Needs Co-ordinator) at another local, well regarded pre-school.

She has worked in the Early Years sector since 2001 and has experience of working with other agencies to help children with special needs. She has a range of qualifications including a Diploma in Preschool Practice, Positive approaches to challenging behaviour, Autism training and Makaton training to name a few and she has enjoyed working with children and their families for many years. Debbie loves working within the well-established team at Busy Bees and seeing the children progress and flourish in the setting.

Debbie launched a Forest School at Busy Bees on Mondays and Fridays and is now a Level 3 Accredited Forest School Practitioner.

She has 2 daughters, one who also works in child care and one who is a beautician in a local salon. Outside of Busy Bees, Debbie enjoys being part of a local dramatic society, gardening, music and camping with family and friends.
